Web examples - Pure Images Stock photography (not online).
This database driven website allowed the Pure Images service to distribute digital stock images across the web. A full E-Commerce product, this site provided the functionality required so as customers could choose image licenses, calculate image costs, purchase and download hi resolution photography instantly.
PHP and MYSQL were used to provide a key worded searchable database of images. Images were presented in thumbnail size for quick viewing, low comps for trials and hi res images for download and use in commercial print.
Not only could customers utilise the dynamic functions of the website, but contributing photographers could interact with the database. A photographer could run reports on images sales in a given period, and monitor which images sold best. They also had the facility to add keywords and descriptive text to images upon submission to the Pure Images catalogue.
